David Blair

Invigorating, spectacular poetry which makes you glad to be alive!

Rest in peace, David Blair

your happy meal

Rip open and strip the packaging

savour the promise of joy i bring

i’ll make you happy baby

sink your teeth and grind the flesh

toss and screw and fuck the rest

sip my shake and wake the taste

dip and dunk and suck the baste

i’ll make you happy baby

i’ll be your carrion in my lethargy

so swoop and scoop and vulture me

my entrails are all yours to reveal

your cheesy smiling happy meal

take me away baby

the outsider saw only the whole ~

one earth, one soul

beautiful, boundless, brilliant and blue

endlessly whispered I love you

but no one heard

and no one saw

save the child who said I love you more

Media Malice

how silently they cast their lies–

the deadly bait awaits

the unsuspecting little bites

nibbling at their fates.

how carefully they set their sights –

finger poised to shoot

just above the little calf

its mother rendered mute.

how joyfully they come and go

all smiles and platitudes

they punctuate their carefree lives

with deadly interludes.
